Hawaii Recap

Ah, the cloudy weather here finally gave way to a little bit of sunshine, which led my thoughts right back to Hawaii. Beautiful, sunny Hawaii.

We stayed in the downstairs of a house. This was our view.

We woke every morning to the sound of roosters.

We passed taro fields and horses on our way to and from the house.

We attempted to hike to a water fall, but there was a bit of a mud situation. Word of advice – flip-flops and hiking just don’t go together.

We spent time on Hanalei Bay, soaking in the sun and watching the surf.

We went to a beautiful traditional Hawaiian wedding ceremony in the water, and reception at the Garden Café.

We went back to the Garden Café to see the gardens and try their menu.

We spent time in the sunshine. I practiced yoga.

We enjoyed spending time with close friends.

Go to Hawaii. The first chance you get. Take time to leave the typical tourist resort. Head to a more remote location and find complete serenity. Soak in some sunshine and good vibes. Learn to love life.

Next up on the blog, a review of our Hawaiian hike and restaurant review.

Until then…

Peace, love, and serenity,

Jessi

I have heard that from so many people and I must say, it is sort of a magical place. The views were stunning from every direction and the people and lifestyle were very welcoming. We will definitely be going back!
