Book Review: F**k It Therapy

*Today’s post in someway kind of contains profanity. If you are against cursing/swearing please refer todays post to a foul-mouthed friend :)*

It’s been awhile since the last book review. I actually finished reading this one a few weeks ago, but I have been busy and procrastinated a bit on the review of this one.

Don’t let that fool you though – I absolutely loved this book. The title is F**k It Therapy, by John C. Parkin and his wife Gaia. The title pretty much sums it up. This book is a self-help on how to say (and live) “F**k It!” for a more go-with-the-flow lifestyle.

At the same time, it’s not all that simple. he book starts out a bit slow – for me at least, I think some of this stuff already applies to yoga trainings and books I’ve read. But then it gets more involved. The premise is that we all live in some sort of societal “prison” and in this prison we are not allowed to be free and in touch with our true self. The bulk of the beginnings describes, with humor and illustrations, the types of prisons. Then you get into to nitty-gritty, dirty details. How to say F**k It and break out of your prison, How to realize that somethings really don’t matter, and if you just loosen up on them a little, you get what you need and often what you want.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who feels a bit trapped in their day-to-day life, who is looking for a humorous and fun insights, and who cares more about authenticity than literary perfection.

F**k It. Go grab a copy today and start a more in tune, carefree lifestyle.

Back tomorrow with a sweet and cooling DIY treat!

Peace and love,

Jessi
