Mushroom and Onion Gravy

A simple but delicious gravy for your next weeknight or Holiday dinner.
Ingredients
  • 1 cup baby portabella mushrooms, diced
  • ½ yellow onion, chopped
  • ⅓ cup water
  • ⅓ cup vegetable broth (low sodium)
  • 1 tbsp tamari
  • 1 tbsp arrowroot powder
  • ¼ cup nutritional yeast
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • pinch sea salt
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
  1. Heat olive oil in a medium pan oven medium-high heat.
  2. Add onions and sautee for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Pour water into your pan and add mushrooms.
  4. Stir in arrowroot powder, nutritional yeast, tamari, sea salt, and black pepper.
  5. Cook until heated throughly.
  6. If too thick, add more water or broth. If too thin, add more nutritional yeast or arrow root powder.
