There are many, many workout drinks around. Ones that help you replenish yourself post-workout and ones that help you hydrate pre-workout. Most of the time though, the only thing green about them is th artificial coloring. As much as I love a good sports drink, it is full of sugar and artificial ingredients, rather than just the electrolytes it promises. Coconut water is a great all-natural, straight from the earth sports drink. It is already naturally full of electrolytes. Sometimes though, I want a little pre-workout snack to fill me up AND hydrate me.
Yesterday, I made a delicious green juice to pick me up before my workout – which included an intense core workout and mat flow (which I will hopefully be shooting out to you on Wednesday!).
Go Green Workout Drink:
1-2 lemon
1/4 inch chunk ginger
handful of kale
2 apples
Add all ingredients into the juicer and enjoy!
Its green, detoxifying, hydrating, and tasty!

May 16, 2013 at 10:38 pmThis sounds delicious! I’ll have to try it, as I’m always looking for new juices to make. I make another green juice that’s really tasty, too. It consists of a couple handfuls of spinach, a couple carrots, 2 apples, some pineapple and an orange. It’s so tasty!
