Today we are going to talk about one fo my favorite topics: Taking care of YOU to better take care of others. What does that mean? It means that you use certain tools, tips, and practices to relieve stress, get healthy, and find energy so you feel better and are better able to tak care of your loved ones. In short – it means SELF-CARE.
That’s right, taking time away from others to recharge and spend on you and you alone. It’s not selfish. It’s Self-Care.
When our schedules get busy, when we get stressed, or when we have others that count on us to take care of them, the first thing we often let go of is taking care of ourselves. But as the old saying goes, the best way to care for others is to first care for ourselves.
When we feel good, healthy, and balanced we are more focused, able to do more, AND we are more efficient. This gives us more time to devote to not only the things we are doing in our life, but the people we care for. And nothing is more important during this hectic Holiday Season.
So how do we take care of ourselves?
When we are overwhelmed, how is it possible to take time out of our day to care for our own health – mind, body, and soul?
Today I’ll share with you a few simple, but effective Self-Care practices you can put into place today to start feeling more taken care of and centered by tomorrow 🙂
