When we are very young, being grounded is the worst. No phone. No TV. No internet. No friends. Just school, homework, and chores. But as we get older, being grounded starts to take on new meaning and, for many people, it becomes the very thing they crave.
Grounding, whether you are old or young, is a way to step back from the chaos, the hectic pace of life, and root yourself in balance. When you are a child, this means taking some time away from the chaotic things that your parents feel are leading you astray. And when you are an adult, it means taking time away from the things in life that are leading you astray. Hmmm…sounds a lot alike.
