What to do when Green Juice Goes Wrong

Sometimes, even with the best of intentions and hopes, green juice just turns out bad. It could be a new recipe, a specific taste added or lacking, or maybe a new brand/flavor that just doesn’t vibe with you.  As sad as this can be (kidding) there is something you can do about it. Use it as the base for your Green Smoothie!

HOH Green Juice Fix

Last week while traveling, I picked up some morning pre-made raw green juice at Whole Foods. It wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t my style. I didn’t want it to go to waste, because let’s face it,  most people don’t like to waste produce, but nobody likes to waste money. I brought it home, and when I reached for the coconut milk to add to my smoothie, I grabbed it instead and added it in. Extra greens, extra flavor, and extra vitamins/nutrition. Win-win-double-win.

Green Juice Disaster Smoothie:

Makes 2 large Smoothies

2 bananas (frozen or not)

1/3 cup frozen mango and/or berries

1 handful spinach

1 handful kale

1/2 cup/bottle green juice

*optional 1/4 cup plain greek yogurt (go for the good kind, just milk and probiotics. No added gums and thickeners).

Add all ingredients to blender and blend until smooth!

Green juice disaster averted.

What is your favorite way to save your juices or recipe mishaps?

Peace and Love,
